ABSTRACT
        In this study, briquettibility of Adıyaman - Gölbaşı coal was investigated. The study was conducted both in the laboratory and on the pilot plant scale, Molassea and an ester byproduct originated from SASA were used as binder. The briquettes with binder proved to have satisfactory mechanical strength and burning properties, but the same was not true for binderless briquettes and dried lump coal. The briquettes were not water resistant.
